Sustainability, green and
recycling have become key concepts for the development of businesses, company products and brands from each sector.
Nowadays, it is crucial to focus on these concepts with the objective to find solutions and production processes
that allow to preserve resources and to reduce the environmental impact.
With the Raytent project, Giovanardi has developed a new worthy process that make it possible to reduce waste and pollution, changing the byproducts from the textile industry in a new product.
Why is it possible to define Raytent as a real sustainable project?
- High percentage of recycled fiber
Raytent fabrics are composed of more than 50% of recycled acrylic fiber derived from the pre-consumer
production waste.
Thanks to a manufacturers supply chain, waste from the awning industry is recovered, unraveled and then transformed into a new yarn with the use of special machines.
From this, there is the production of high-quality fabrics rich in recycled material and that have the same performance of non-recycled fabrics.
- Waste prevention
It has been evaluated that for each awning produced, at least a 10% of fabric is discarded.
Raytent is only made using this pre-consumer waste, that would otherwise not have any chance of re-use.
This process prevents these materials from ending up in a landfill and permits to transform what would have been a waste in anew resource.
- Recyclability
From awnings to awnings, from fabrics to fabrics and so on: Raytent products have been developed not only to be recycled, but also to be recyclable, creating a real model of circular economy.
This is the reason why we can call it up-cycling, a process created to reduce waste and the use of raw materials as best as possible.
- Certification and supply chain transparency
Raytent is certified ReMade in Italy by a third-party, Bureau Veritas. This certification guarantees transparency and sustainability of an entirely Italian supply chain, offering additional guarantees on the quality and the environmental impact of the product.
