Baglioni Resort Sardinia

Raytent yarns are woven into fabrics and rugs inspired by the colours of Sardinia to furnish the outdoor spaces of the prestigious Baglioni Resort Sardinia.

The north-east coast of Sardinia, with its colours, scents and strong winds, creates a sensory relationship with the surrounding environment and a complex experience between man and nature. Here, the senses are constantly stimulated, enhancing the attention to detail and materials. Materials must be innovative, high-performance and respectful of nature. Colours and textures play an important role in conferring psychological as well as physical wellbeing.

The analysis and development of these key themes formed the framework of Spagnulo&Partners design project for the Baglioni Resort Sardinia. Mariantonia Urru, an ancient Sardinian weaver, has been able to portray these prerogatives through the use of recycled Raytent yarns to create high-performance and sustainable handicrafts for the outdoor areas.

Spagnulo&Partners' design project gives great importance to the outdoor spaces, the real fulcrum of the Resort's life. The areas reveal great accuracy of materials and colour choices, in perfect harmony with the philosophies reflected in the interiors and architectural materials. The poolside area is furnished with wooden and cane structures, real living spaces with wooden armchairs and loungers. Cushions, fabrics and rugs, made of recycled Raytent yarn, emphasize a strong connection with nature and the land. The lounge terrace is another fascinating place in the resort. It is located on the flat roof of the bar, a truly magnificent location with a breathtaking sea view. Here too, the colourful rugs and fabrics, together with the ceramics of the tables and stone floors, reflect the identity of the project.

Raytent rugs are durable by nature, resistant, untouched by rain and sun. They can be left outside all year round, destined to remain beautiful over time, even if trampled on. Fabrics are soft, pleasant to the touch and they can be used to enjoy outdoor moments in comfort and well-being.
